Tallulah here! Poppy had to go to see the vet last Thursday, to have her check-up before her operation (she is going into hospital to be spayed on Wednesday... I will come back to that in a bit). Anyway, what do you think the vet accused me of? Having a fat bum! I have to go on a diet! I am going to be robbed of my best nibbles until my bum is smaller. I wasn't impressed. I tried to muster a battalion of poo parcels while I was there, and I did manage a significant number. But then I also dropped a few in the carry case after we left, which was a bad idea because I was stuck in that carry case all the way home. So was Poppy, who gave me accusing looks and tutted a lot. Note to self: Do not leave poo parcels in confined spaces you can't escape from.
Back to Poppy and her spaying. Having the operation really cuts down on the risk of us ratties getting lumps later in life. Lumps aren't good, especially when they grow in your tummy bits or your noggin. So, in the long run, Poppy will have a healthier life and probably a longer one too. So she'll be around to cause trouble for a long time yet!
Back to my bum. I have heard mom and dad talking about raiding my secret stashes, so I have to go and barricade my hidey places. I'll keep you posted on my bum's progress.
