The Sea View Mercurial today announced that following the success of The 'Orrible Old Crooners' production of the musical 'The Sound of Music' at the Sea View Musicarium earlier this year, the troupe will be beginning rehearsals for their new production, an adaptation of Alfred Hitchcock's film noir 'Notorious', this coming week. Pat Guppy will once again take centre stage, this time in the role of Alicia Huberman, previously played by the equally glamorous Ingrid Bergman in the movie. Due to Mr Hamitup's recent knee injury, she will also be playing the part of Alexander Sebastian, played by Claude Rains in the film.
'Turning Hitchcock's classic into a musical has proved something of a challenge,' Pat Guppy said, 'but we think there will be something for everyone, as we've added a light show and a group of juggling chimps.'
Tickets will be on sale from Sea View Playhouse from December 5th, with the best seats costing tuppence ha'penny.
